Sermon Series
In his letter to the Galatians, the Apostle Paul writes with a sense of urgency and passion. His directness flows from a deep love for the Galatian Christians and an unwavering commitment to the Gospel. At the time, the church was being pressured to believe that faith in Jesus was only a “starting point” and that they needed to add their own religious efforts to be truly right with God. While our challenges today look different, we often face the same temptation to distort the Gospel by adding our own “to-do” lists to Christ’s finished work.
Over the coming weeks, we will find rest in the sufficiency of Jesus as we work through sections of this letter. We will focus on the assurance found in the good news that through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, God has done for us what we could never do for ourselves.
Our hope is that you will be encouraged and fueled by this ancient declaration of freedom—a message that is just as relevant and life-giving today as the day it was written.
